Ethel Pisareff b.1960, lives and works in Giv’atayim, Israel, holds a BFA from the Department of Fine Arts, University of Haifa (1987); studied ceramics at the High Academy of Fine Arts, Antwerp, Belgium (1988–89).
Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in Israel and overseas. She teaches ceramics at the GH Art Center, Givat Haviva and HaCubia Art School, Jerusalem. Pisareff creates ceramic objects andf unctional vessels from thin slabs of clay. Her works are characterized by minimalism, formal cleanliness, and refined precision, inspiring a feeling of powerful peacefulness.
